No countertop should be described as universally maintenance-free, heatproof, scratchproof, stainproof or damage-proof. Product-specific data and care instructions should be reviewed before selection.

An accessory should not be selected only because it appears useful in a showroom. Its cabinet application, dimensions, load, opening space, maintenance, replacement availability and final cost should also be reviewed.
Kitchen hardware may include hinges, drawer slides, lift-up mechanisms, pull-out systems, handles, opening profiles, internal organisers, baskets, lighting components and other accessories.
