These terms do not mean that the completed kitchen is unaffected by leaks, standing water, long-term humidity, direct heat, strong sunlight, unsuitable cleaning products, unsealed site cutting or improper installation.

No countertop should be described as universally maintenance-free, heatproof, scratchproof, stainproof or damage-proof. Product-specific data and care instructions should be reviewed before selection.
